Program Description:
The Grow Norwalk Fund is a unique economic development partnership between the City of Norwalk and the National Development Council’s Grow America Fund. It is a loan program designed to assist successfully established small businesses grow. Although available to businesses in any section of the city, particular attention is paid to businesses wishing to grow in economically distressed areas.

Small businesses in Norwalk may apply for loans of between $25,000 and $2 million.

Applicants must be a for-profit business and have the ability to create permanent jobs in Norwalk.

Applicants should provide:
  • A brief history of the business including a description of the existing market and proposed sources and use of funds
  • A brief description of the project including income projections
  • Copies of the business tax returns for the last three years
  • Current financial statements
  • Personal financial statements of any partner owning more than 20 percent of the business
  • A credit release so the Grow America Fund and the Grow Norwalk Fund can obtain personal and corporate credit reports
